Have you ever wondered how a camera works? Join us on April 15, 10:30 am – Noon to experience the magic of optics and go back in time to play with the very first camera. Instructor Todd Birdsong teaches the basics of photography with Yeiser Art Center and see how you can turn a few simple supplies – a box, a magnifying glass, and some tape – into a Camera Obscura! A Camera Obscura uses the science of optics to project an image onto a surface. Capture stunning images made by the camera obscura with a smartphone or small digital camera. This Creative Experience is free with pre-registration and open to ages 8 & up. Participants will work in pairs to learn about and use a camera obscura. Cameras will be for sale whiles supplies last.
